Georgia Fly Fishing Guide Takes Fishermen through the Ropes of Casting, Tying and Finding the Perfect Spot for Fishing

Many people are looking for a wintertime getaway that does not involve snow or even cold weather and that is when they turn to a George fly fishing guide.  Georgia fly fishing guides take wintertime vacationers to beautiful Georgia streams and rivers where the temperature is always warm and the fish are always biting.

According to a bass fishing Georgia guide, a person who fly fishes will learn about biology, entomology and ecology since the goal of fly fishing is to trick the fish into swallowing the fly as if it were real insect, which could happen to be at any stage of larval development.  Additionally, a fly fisherman must constantly be alert to the ever-changing conditions of the stream they are standing in while fishing.

Countless fly fishing anglers use barbless hooks which causes them to rely on their casting skills to maintain the right amount of tension on the line as they reel in a fish; many believe that’s a fair fight, if the fish gets off the line, then the fisherman needs to practice more to become a better angler.

Timing and technique, properly stroking the rod to arc it, putting energy into the line and then stopping it to unload the line are all signs of good casting.  Casting to match your surroundings and conditions, anglers rarely fish in the wide open spaces.  Beginners start with straight forward casting, then they learn roll casting, curve casting and side casting.  Once they have mastered these casts, they move on to more exotic sounding casts like the pantomime cast, the steeple chase, high-stick nymphing, bow and arrow and double spey.  The pantomime cast does not require a line or a rod and allows you to improve your stroke when you cannot get to the water.

Numerous fishermen believe that fly fishing and camping go hand in hand.  Camping out under the stars, in a tent or an RV can be a relaxing way to enjoy the great outdoors.   Moreover, if you are lucky enough to be camping in an RV, then someone could bake up some cookies to celebrate catching ‘the big fish’ by using a fish cookie cutter along with other outdoor style cookie cutters.
