Using Cloth Diapers Help Save for Baby’s Future; College Funds Need Money, Too
Everyday, parents are switching from disposable diapers to baby cloth diapers because disposable diapers are expensive and they stay in the landfills for many years. Disposable diapers do not decompose since they are made mostly of plastic and other non-biodegradable materials. Parents want to be eco-friendly and help preserve the planet for their children and their children’s children.
Countless new parents worry about cloth diapers and diaper rash and that is why many doctors and other parents who regularly use cloth diapers suggest using diaper inserts to help pull moisture and wetness away from a baby’s delicate skin. Some of these diaper inserts are disposable while others are reusable – simply throw them in the washing machine with the cloth diapers and when they have gone through the washer and dryer cycles, they are ready to be used again and again.
These new cloth diapers with the baby diaper covers built right over the diaper also come with Velcro fasteners so there is no need to purchase diaper pins or large safety pins that could stick a parent or even worse pop open while a child is crawling or climbing on something and stick the baby.
The latest cloth diapers, in neat character prints and solid colors to match any outfit, with the Velcro closures and the plastic outer wrapping, may cost a little more in the beginning but they will pay for themselves after several uses. Disposable diapers cannot be reused and after a while, cost a fortune over the period of two to three years, the time in which it takes before a child is potty trained.
Perhaps the best thing a parent could do for their children is use cloth diapers instead of disposable diapers because cloth diapers are more economical, and saving money at this time is what many people are trying to do in order to ‘stay afloat.’ People with young children need to think of their future, like a college fund and the money they save by using cloth diapers could go into that college fund and take a little less worry off the family budget.
